Weeks 15-16 - Speed Mentoring Event

The last two weeks included product work and tech progress.

We participated a speed mentoring event in the lab, where we had 20 minutes with each mentor. We explained the problem and the product, and showed a little demo of a using scenario. The mentors talked about aspects they liked more and less: aspects of the problem, the product and the pitch.

  1. All the mentors liked the idea and the design of the product, the laud the tree reference.

  2. The pitch need to be more coherent. The connection between the problem and the solution (the product) needs to be clearer.

  3. The decision to focus on virtual space emotions (and not emotions in general) bind us to look for ideas to enhance and to cannel our user to use report only (or at least mainly) about occasion happened to them online.

  4. We're giving to much credit to the children if we think they'll talk to each other about the tree output meanings without and guidance from an adult.

  5. The way to connect between the problem - to help kids deal with offensive occasion online, and the SeeMe product must include a call to action and not stay only in the reflection domain. We need to empower the class teacher in order to make the kids talk to each other about their feeling. Reflecting is not enough.

Except for the speed mentoring event, we continued to work on the second prototype of the product. We printed a larger and re-designed model of the 2D tree, tried different materials, and progress on the technological side.
