Week 4 // Pitch and Empathy Map

This week started with our first pitch in front of the class and the lab staff - a pitch about the problem.

Last week we chose to focus our problem about cyberbullying and harassments among adolescence, completing a small journey of four weeks that took us from transparency in media, through children and teenagers in general, and finally to focus on cyberbullying and harassments among them.

We had 5 minutes to explain the problem and to convince the audience that the problem is real and hurting. We also listened to the other teams problem pitches and got an important feedback.

Over the week we continued our scholar research, reading academic researches and tests about cyberbullying, to get another angle to complete the interviews insights. In parallel we worked about ethical questions related to future interviews we might conduct.

We learned more about the phenomena's distribution, with over 50% of the teenagers experienced harassments at least once.

We also learned about cyberbullying categories and the victims perceptions about those categories severances, with pictures/videos bullying as the most negative of all.

Another interesting insight was the features of cyberbullying in compare to traditional bullying, and the characteristic of cyberbullying attackers.

We also wrote an emotional map for our persona to help us understand our user better

Next week we starts the ideation stage for the solution, we are looking forward for it!
